A little about me...
Mona is special because she is our Mona-Bone. We rescued Mona when she was 6 years old. Now she is our old hound dog girl and she fills our lives with fun (and howling). Mona is unique in that she is afraid of everything. Literally everything. Even her own shadow, and occasionally her own farts. When Mona wants attention, she becomes a snake and crawls across the floor, or walks like she has no knees and steps on your feet. If we don’t control her barking, she sounds like a dog in a blender. Especially when she is super happy when, for example, she has caught a squirrel to eat. One weekend she caught 9 squirrels in 3 days and ate 4.5 of them before we could stop her. She has no clue how to fetch, but is extremely good at Mona Tag. Mona Tag is a game invented by Mona where Mona zooms around the yard at full speed, then stops behind my hostas, checks if I’m looking, then digs a huge hole. My role is to run up and stomp my foot at her, and the game starts over. We love our Mona Bone and hope you love her silly stories.
