The bling around her neck says it all, "I AM A THERAPY DOG"

Let's start from the beginning, Madi is a 10 year old blue heeler mix that we rescued from The Dog Patch in Naperville. She shares a home with another rescue blue heeler, Winnie. In her younger years, the energetic heeler in her loved to go on long runs and it wouldn't be uncommon for her to log 10+ mile runs. As the years past for this distance runner, Madi learned to slow down and relax, which is the opposite of most blue heelers! She enjoys laying in the sun at our son's baseball games or sitting on a beer patio that allows dogs.

With her calm and tranquil demeanor around people, we decided to have her tested to be a hospital therapy dog. With some additional training she passed the test and earned her bling! She now does regular rotations at Edward Hospital in Naperville and has also been seen at Safety Town, parades, school functions, blood drives, you name it. If you ever see her, ask for one of her trading cards!
