A little about me...
Prince Philip VonChesterfield Esq.—aka Phillip, aka Philly Cheesesteak—made his grand entrance into my life in the most dramatic way possible: in a feral cat trap at just two months old. At the time, I was working at Paws for a Cause (formerly Spay Illinois), and the trapper was convinced Phillip and his brother had mange. Plot twist: turns out they were actually Sphynx kittens, just naturally bald and naturally fabulous.
From that day forward, Phillip decided that being rescued meant he would dedicate his life to rescuing everyone else—emotionally, of course. Despite his royal title, he’s the first to greet new people at the door like an over-caffeinated maître d’, making sure they feel like VIP guests in his kingdom. He’ll trot right up for a sniff, a head bump, and sometimes a very awkward, but very heartfelt, cuddle.
His hobbies include sunbathing in the most inconvenient spots possible, chasing invisible enemies across the living room, and striking regal poses that would look perfect on a beer can. Honestly, I can’t think of a better face to stare back at you while you sip something cold—because who wouldn’t want a little bald royalty with their brew?
