Salty may have learned his scavenging ways from his days as an alleycat, but these days his Big Gulps are procured legally by his people. We adopted him from AWLA in June of 2015, where he had recovered (with a lot of TLC from the shelter and its wonderful vet partners) from a fractured foreleg, a scraped-up head and damaged pads. He is now a mischievous and rambunctious family member in Old Town Alexandria with no worries about scavenging food or Big Gulps.
