Your Pet's Story or BioBean (shelter name: "Fenway") was adopted in July 2012 - he was part of a group of rescued dogs. Bean had heartworm disease and Lyme disease, appeared traumatized by his previous situation and was extremely timid. He would run if someone came up behind him, was afraid of all other dogs and humans, and would tremble regularly. I knew he would need a "sibling" to help him, so as soon as Bean's heartworm treatment was over, I adopted Bella ("Regina") in October 2012. The shelter staff and volunteers were wonderful in helping me find a dog who would be compatible with Bean: Bella is brave, outgoing and so loving (apparently she used to snuggle next to all her roommates at the shelter). Bean does whatever she does (almost) and has made huge strides. He wakes up every morning wagging his tail and excited for his walk (and food).
