The Colonel was brought to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria by a person who had found him all alone in a park in Alexandria. He was only one pound when he was discovered and not even four weeks old! He was too little to stay at the Shelter so I offered to take him home. All he wanted to do that night was snuggle and sleep - he was completely exhausted from being outside, by himself. The next day, his real personality started to come out. He is a confident, outgoing, extremely friendly little boy. I bring him to work to AWLA everyday and he loves to greet everyone who enters the administration area. I had planned to name him Kernel since he was like a little popcorn kernel but it was soon clear it had to be The Colonel!
