Your Pet's Story or Bio
When I adopted Sherlock from a friend who passed away, he had serious episodes of anxiety. Otherwise, however, he was a very happy boy! He often had “happy feet” and would scamper around with his stuffed bear in his mouth. He also loved getting his back scratched while being pulled by his harness through the grass across Waterfront Park. He enjoyed exploring his yard and finding places to hide, especially in the bamboo. Unfortunately for me, he also liked to dig under the fence and explore the neighborhood. Twice he managed to safely get from Rosemont across the King Street, Russell Road intersection, and onto the Metro platform. Sherlock never lost his positive attitude, even after spinal cord surgery, two knee surgeries, gall bladder removal, and a corneal graft. Last September however, at 15 ½, cancer finally got the better of him, but he was very happy until the end.
