Why is this pet your Sunshine?
Halo was adopted from a local animal shelter when he was 1 year old. He was found wandering the streets and was not neutered. We had lost our previous pit bull (Rex) and wanted to rescue another. Instantly, we knew he was the dog for us. After he was neutered we brought him home!!! Halo loves EVERYONE! We have another dog (Angle), several cats, ferrets and a rabbit. Halo curls up on the couch with us and the kids every night and is very much a bed hog! He has helped to care for bottle baby kittens by licking them clean after eating. He is a gentle giant and we could not imagine our lives without him. Halo displays many of the same characteristics of our old dog Rex whom we miss very much.... In addition to some facial expressions and reactions to things, much like Rex, Halo loves to play with cat toys, enjoys eating lettuce and often "pushes" things around with his nose just to see what happens. He is a terrific dog and this photo (taken by our daughter) captures his silly, goofy, face we love so much!
