Animal Aid is an animal welfare charity located in Victoria with facilities in Coldstream, Sale and Bairnsdale.

We do not want to be big, we want to be great, and this enables us to provide the highest level of care to the 6000 animals that annually need assistance or a second chance.

These include cats, dogs, pockets pets and small livestock that we care for until loving new homes can be found.

As an open door shelter we never turn away an animal in need. We will do everything in our power to assist an animal to be ready for adoption; no matter how many animals we have or how much it costs, there is always room for one more.

Preparing an animal for adoption can take time. An animal may need surgery, including special surgery such as amputation, rehabilitation, training or time out to recover from a stressful environment.

We believe that all animals deserve the safety and comfort of a loving home and we aim to provide that opportunity to every animal that comes through our doors, whether that is through reuniting a lost pet with their owners or finding a new home for an abandoned animal.

Animal Aid is committed to acting in the best interests of each and every animal that comes into our care. Through the promotion of enjoyable pet ownership and provision of the highest standard of care, Animal Aid is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion pets in our society.

We are passionate about advocating the adoption of companion pets, working to address the issues associated with animal homelessness and abolishing sub-standard animal breeding practices.

Animal Aid does not receive government funding to operate. Our services include pet adoption, veterinary clinic, grooming, boarding kennels and cattery. We also operate four opportunity shops. The income from these services together with donations from our supporters goes back into supporting the animals in our care.
