Mila was found in the back woods of Georgia. A very sick Mama, but none of her puppies were found. Animal Care Sanctuary in Pennsylvania volunteered to take her in and pay for surgery and all her medications.
She was chosen by my past dog Lucca, who didn't seem to like any other dog we met. She immediately went into a play bow when they met, and I knew instantly that she was coming home with us.
Mila was petrified of city life, cars, trucks, and most men. She didn't know how to use stairs, how to play, or trust.
But with lots of love, patience and time, she is now a confident champion who loves life, animals and people.
