Pet's Story or Bio
In September 2009 I came to live with the Nyberg Family in Corona. My new Mom came to pick me up. She brought me a new bed, Minnie Mouse blanket, and a toy for the ride home. Mom had her eyes on the road but I had my eyes on Mom. I joined 2 other rescue chihuahuas, Bailey and Chica but I was the baby. I stayed in my crate for the first couple of days, and my new bed was placed next to it. Mom kept the door open and she was able to coax me out the second day. I sat on Mom's lap and she gently petted me while we watched an hour of Judge Judy. Mom let me ride around in her robe pocket at night. She bought me a pumpkin Halloween costume. Christmas was fun with costumes and stockings for all 3 of us. In February 2010, my eyes began to cloud over and I was diagnosed with Corneal Endolethial Dystrophy. It became worse quickly and within a year I was totally blind but my hearing and smell are spot-on. The only thing that changed is that someone has to carry me up and down stairs. My Mom makes it fun by letting me ride in her purse or in the laundry basket. In May 2010 I woke my Mom in the early morning to alert her to Bailey needing a final goodbye. She was so grateful and says I am heaven-sent. <3
