Sassafras aka Sassy was adopted from Animal House Shelter last year. She was on the run from her foster family for five days until she was found by the wonderful staff at AHS, and came home with us the very same day. She was underweight, heartworm positive, and too frightened to venture out of her crate for weeks. With part of one ear missing, and the other one nicked, we believe she had good reason to distrust humans. Slowly she has learned to trust us, and she is now an important member of our family. There isn't a day that goes by where she doesn't makes us laugh or provide cuddles. We wouldn't be able to live without Sweet Sassy. She is as goofy as she is lovable.
