Nanny, a 10-year-old Bluetick Coonhound, joined our family from AWLA in January 2019. Nanny came from a shelter in rural VA and was in pretty rough shape when AWLA found her and transported her to Alexandria. The wonderful staff and volunteers gave her the medical attention and love she needed to get healthy and happy. She was a member of the 100 Day Stay Club and it was love at first sight when we met her in the shelter. We are so glad that we have been able to give her a forever home.

Nanny is now living her best life in the bright lights and big city of Arlington. This lovable goofball enjoys hiking in the woods, snuggling on the couch, getting belly rubs, and eating pup cups. She may be a senior but she’s still got plenty of things to sniff and trails to explore!
