Your Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Lottie and Louie in Fall 2016 from Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue, the only rescue in the area that we know of that specializes in guinea pigs. Our 'furry potatoes' are about 3 years old and are very much a bonded pair. Lottie has a crested hairdo that sometimes makes her look like a rocker, while Louie has unique hair curls that make him look like a bison.

Louie is super mellow and a bit near-sighted (we think), so he follows Lottie around when they are out of the cage. He LOVES being held and will stick his nose up in your neck, under your chin, and will make loud and content squawk squawk squawk noises. Meanwhile, Lottie is a sweet but jittery piggie and will hide her face in Louie's fur when she's nervous. She squeaks loudly for food or when she knows she's about to go home to her cage. They enjoy all sorts of veggies, especially outdoor greens such as dandelion leaves and fresh grass. They love fruit treats too and will tug-of-war over apple peels (check out the funny video!)

We are endlessly entertained by Lottie & Louie and consider ourselves so lucky to have them as part of our family.
