What qualities do you believe you have to be the People's Choice for Man of the Desert?
My husband Randy and I love our dogs, they literally run our lives.
We volunteer when we can, some of our favorite volunteer opportunities have been with Palm Springs Animal Shelter for Swanky Pets Fundraiser, Joslyn Center’s Annual Fashion Show, Desert AIDS Project with Haute 4 Help, Women’s Desert Expo Fashion Show, DIFFA: Designing Industries Fighting AIDS and FIDM, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. We include our girls whenever we can.
Randy and I have been living locally and serving the desert in Real Estate for 13 years. We are located at the Windermere office in Palm Springs and we bring our girls to work sometimes. They always bring a smile to our co-workers and brighten their day.
We both had dogs growing up in the Midwest. My parents raised quarter horses so my siblings and I were blessed to learn how to ride and care for them. Our dogs growing up were all rescues - Glady, Trixie, Fluffy, Stormy, Caesar and Missy. My love for dogs continued when I moved to Dallas, TX when my family gave me Tasha for my 25th birthday.
Pucci was the first to come in our lives by fate. She was named after Emilio Pucci. Our client tragically had been ill with heart problems and passed away suddenly. We fell in love with her while sitting open houses. She was 3 at the time and was heartbroken. Pucci had several wonderful people who expressed interest in caring for her. The executor of Bill's estate saw our deep affection for her and told us that we were the best match. We were thrilled and so grateful. She’s a total diva and is 13 years old now going on 3. She hasn’t changed, always fearless and strong. Penny is 8, we call her Red Girl for a nickname. She’s the peace keeper and love bug. She loves her baths and long walks. Penny has seizures sometimes so she needs extra loving care. Lastly, Pepper is 5 and loves to play, play and play. She loves to play in the water, snuggle and loves her treats. Needless to say, they have been such a blessing in our lives. Some people say that 3 dogs are so time consuming. We say, "We wouldn’t have it any other way." Thank you for considering our family. We would be grateful to be a part of this wonderful cause.
