Hazel is an 8 year old pit bull mix that was rescued by Animal Control from a neglectful owner. When Hazel was picked up, she was underweight, missing hair, and suffering from bacterial and yeast infections on her skin. We have had her for 8 months now. She is happy, healthy, and we love her to pieces - even though she keeps us on our toes by sneaking snacks from the kitchen (she's a curvy girl who hates to diet). Hazel is an independent woman who marches to the beat of her own drum. She loves to hold hands, swim at the dog beach and lie in the sun on the lanai among Mom's flowers. We sing to her, "Hazelberry quite contrary, how does your garden grow?"
