Abby, a Finish Spitz mix, was adopted from an animal shelter in California when she was a year and a half old. She suffered from a number of fears and anxieties that revealed a difficult past. Harmless objects such as parking meters froze her in her tracks on her twice daily walks. Separation from her family for even short periods was traumatic. With time, love, and patience, however, Abby overcame her past injustices to live a rich, full life. We often joke that we took her confidence too far as she didn't hesitate to let everyone know that she was the queen bee. She was one of a kind and we were lucky to have known and loved her.
