We got Dalton & Peeta as a bonded pair from AWLA on June 29, 2014. They are not related, but were put together to ease their stay in the shelter-- they are now brother and sister. AWLA staff thought it might take time for them to adjust, since they had been out in the wild for a while, so we set them up in the extra bedroom and let them adjust to their new digs. They were fearful at first, but on the 8th day they both came out to check things out. Now our three, including Toby (our “old man” at 16) spend most of their days hanging together in the same rooms. Dalton’s favorites: napping everywhere (being able to go from 60 to 0 in 2 seconds flat), treats, and roughhousing with his little ‘sis’ Peeta.
