Tails High in Alexandria, VA acquired Phantom in March 2012 from the Prince George's County Animal Shelter, because a nursing mother cat was needed to take care of some abandoned kittens that had been found in a boat. After the kittens were on their own, she was spayed and made available for adoption. I found Tails High online by googling "cat adoption Northern Virginia." I've always been partial to long-haired, multi-colored cats, and Tails High just happened to have one named "Ribbon." I got her on June 16, 2012, changed her name to Phantom (after the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical), and she's been my one and only kitty for the past four years. We live in Ballston.
