Is Your Pet an AWLA Alumnus?
Yes

Your Pet's Story or Bio
We first met Augie (nee: "Devet") as part of a litter of ten very young blue tick coonhound puppies and their nursing mother who had just arrived from West Virginia. Our older dog Trixie (nee: "Ice Bear"), another coonhound and AWLA graduate, REALLY needed a playmate. We checked the AWLA website daily for five weeks watching and waiting for the first puppies to come up for adoption. We picked Augie because he was clearly happy to roll over, submissively showing his little pink belly for us and his litter mates. (An important trait we decided, for getting along with the seriously alpha-female Trixie.) As we suspected, she quickly took him under her big floppy ears and now they're the best of friends.
