Cottontail came from the shelter in Galax, Virginia. She never had a home. Teresa, a City of Alexandria employee had a meeting at the AWLA, where she met and fell in love with Cottontail. Cottontail was adopted right after the meeting and taken to her forever home that she shares with three cats (Beau, Faith, & Grace), and Allie, the dog. It was discovered that Cottontail has a hearing impairment and can only hear certain frequencies. However, this has not stopped her from exploring her new home or preventing her from acting like a playful kitty.
