Lucky is one lucky dog. He has a blinding disease in both eyes. on 8/25/17, his ophthalmologist, Dr. Micki Armour (Armour Veterinary Ophthalmology) did a corneal transplant in his right eye which restored his vision. (You can see the clear transplant in this picture.) Lucky is the only dog on the planet to have had this sight-saving surgery as of today. He is now literally world famous in ophthalmology circles and his experience gives promise to other dogs with similar corneal diseases.
