Speckles and Kepi were adopted from Hedgesville Hounds rescue. Speckles was surrendered to the rescue 2 weeks prior to giving birth to 7 puppies, when she was less than 1 year old. After weaning her puppies, we adopted Speckles. Kepi is one of her puppies and was adopted out, but 4 years later, surrendered to the rescue group, in part due to "behavior problems". We happily adopted Kepi, and the dogs, now 13 and 12 years old are the best of friends. Speckles has gone blind, but they can often still be found snuggling.
