Coco is the strongest, most courageous friend I have. She lost her beloved bonded sister Buttons last year. She mourned for nearly a year. Some how she rose above her sadness, fear and loneliness.
Since the Covid Crisis began I have noticed she watches me. She sleeps on my feet while I'm working at my desk. She has instinctually moved from her bed to mine. Then she moved from the foot of the bed to my side. She now talks to me in what sounds like a dog dialect of Spanish. She spins and dances now for sport. She reciently started meowing like a cat. I have it on video! There is nothing she won't do to make me smile and laugh at her.
How can I be scared or sad or lonely when she watches me constantly, is sitting on my feet, sleeping in my bed or dancing in front of the television?
She is the only one grateful for her meals. She shows me by running madly around the house after she eats.
She sits halfway up the stairs so she can see the driveway and meet me at the door. She is my best friend.
