About The Animal Protective Foundation
The Animal Protective Foundation (APF) is an animal welfare organization providing services to Schenectady County and the Greater Capital Region since 1931. We have an open admission policy, helping all stray or surrendered pets regardless of age, breed or other criteria. All animals in our shelter are spayed or neutered prior to their adoption into a loving home or transferred to a specialized rescue organization.
