Animal’s Story
Lyla and I met at Martinez Animal Shelter 15 years ago. She was deemed unfit to adopt but I did not believe her to be “snappy” as previously observed by staff. I was persistent in getting a one on one visit which was finally allowed. She had been caged with large dogs as a 4 week old puppy. Lyla was a perfect pup, friendly and no sign of aggression. I was able to adopt her and we have enjoyed many adventures together since. We enjoy drives to Bodega Bay, camping and general relaxation. She has had her heath struggles; a choking incident that proved raw hyde not so good and currently rambunctious senior citizen enjoying soft food and more hikes in back pack enjoying the view. Lyla is proof of how humans and pets help each other. best Friends 💚
