Animal’s Story
Honey is a Dachshund Retriever mix. We think she’s at least 6 years old. Prior to choosing us at the Berkeley Animal Shelter in 2017, she lived entirely outdoors. It’s no wonder that she is happiest when she’s at home, cuddling with her human pack. We took her to UC-Davis for cataract surgery, which opened her eyes to a whole new world. She loves exploring the outdoors but is not a fan of the rain. Honey loves meeting children and although she’s very shy at first, she’s very gentle. She knows a friend when she sees one! If she has her favorite rubber chicken, she expects you to chase her to try to take it from her. Belly rubs? Yes, please! Honey is a graduate of the ARF Basic Training class. Life is sweeter with Honey!
