Pickles was posted on AdoptAPet.com during the foreclosure crisis around 2009. My landlady answered the ad, but saw that I quickly fell in love with him. He's been mine for over 11 years (now 14 y/o), and has traveled from Southern California to Wisconsin (where the picture was taken) and now we're in Northern California. I've entered him into many photo contests over the years, and he won $50 once. However, this might be his final entry, as he was diagnosed with bone cancer in May. He was always a winner in my book!
