Animal’s Story
Gatora is my beautiful monster girl -- a "gata de oro" or golden cat -- I adopted the day after seeing her photo on ARF's website. She guards our home from marauders like turkeys, squirrels and deer from her perch on the back of the sofa as these critters walk past our window. Her public enemy number one is the young woodpecker who taps away at the tree outside my home office window. Gatora is quite the talker and loves to join early morning conference calls with my colleagues in Europe. She recently tried to join a call with a lizard wriggling in her mouth. I reminded her that it is not polite to talk with her mouth full. My brat. I love her.
