Pet's Story or Bio
Ra (Formally known as Patrick by ARF) was a rescue at the shelter who had been found abandoned in a home. Sadly, not much more is known about this handsome male's past, who his previous family was, what they were like, how he was treated and lived. Whatever that past was it didn't break the sweetness of this cat. I found him purely by happenstance at ARF when a friend just wanted to show me the shelter. He took a couple minutes to evaluate from his perch before jumping down and walking straight to me as if to say "So when are we going home." After a night of consideration I went ahead and adopted this handsome guy who has grown into the lovely cat you see in the image. He has ingrained himself so much into my daily life that I find it weird to think of a time without him sometimes.

He is an absolute sweet-heart. Being partial Bengal while he does have a bit of a meow when he wants to, most times everything comes out as squeaks. If I'm working, doing 3D modeling or anything like that at the computer he is right there with me. Either on his favorite blanket (the same one I found him on at ARF, he seems to love that thing) or perched in my lap watching me create objects. Friends have very quickly described him as my partner in crime as it seems anything I'm doing he is happily right there with me, observing to make sure I'm doing everything right. He is unique in that though as it isn't dependency from him. He very much can and will go off and do his own feline things.

With all that said I think if I had to choose one word to describe Ra it would be confident. He has an incredible aura of it around him, everything he does even if its turning into a pretzel while asleep somehow exudes a feeling of confidence that he is indeed, being a pretzel. When he walks around a room he doesn't have to meow or do anything to let you know he's there, you can just 'feel' he is there. Honestly, it makes me feel a little bad for him as I've done some trials around other cats with him just for testing purposes. In no case has he ever been hostile to another cat, in many he's either just been neutral or friendly. Yet, in every instance the other cat tends to run and hide or seem somewhat stressed simply due to the presence of him. Amusing is if you consider the 6 months I've had him, he has never once bitten or scratched me.

In many ways he is a gentle giant. For all the confidence and presence that comes off him. He is easily the sweetest cat I have ever known in my life and every bit worthy of that friendly title of 'partner in crime.'
