Pet's Story or BioARF posted an adorable photo on Facebook of this tiny, white little puppy who was the last of his litter to be adopted. He was part of the "Big Bang" litter. ARF named him "Leonard," because he was the most mellow one in the litter. Our friend Andrew contacted me because he thought this adorable little guy would fit perfectly in our family. Once Dolores and I saw the FB post, it was love at first sight! With Andrew’s help, we adopted him the next day. The Facebook posting said about Leonard (now “Eddie”), “He is a very mellow puppy - not much for biting and chewing, and pretty darned quiet!” That was before we brought him home! He has the energy of 10 puppies, and immediately found our dogs' toy basket and removed every toy (at least 20), and ended up falling asleep in the basket. Eddie has turned out to be one of the most loving, affectionate dogs we have ever had. He is a handful, but each day, he brings us more laughter and joy than we ever expected. Just prior to adopting Eddie, we laid Dolores' elderly dog, Paris, to rest. Dolores adopted Paris from ARF many years ago and was devastated by the loss. Thankfully, with the arrival of Eddie and the love of our other "kids," Ming and Junior, her heart began heal.
We never quite know what Eddie is going to get into, but there isn't a day that goes by that we aren't grateful for having him as part of our family.
