Pet's Story or Bio
Jackie is a Jack Russell/ West Highland White Terrier cross (I call her myWest Russell ). She was given up to Santa Ana Shelter. On her last 24 hours she was rescued by a Rescue Group in Laguna Beach and Fostered by a co-worker. She brought her to me in a very difficult time in my life, so you can say she rescued me. I see her aging, loosing her dark sparkling eyes to cataracts. She loves everyone ; adults, children, babies, dogs, cats. We lost her best friend Boots her kitty brother two years ago. They groomed each other, played together and sunbathed side by side. She would stand up to a lion if we were approached, she does not realize she is so small. Jackie has given me 11 years of love, and I pray that she will have many more years. She makes everyone smile and loves meeting and greeting like Mayor Max and his Deputies.
I can bathe and brush her fluffy fur straight but she shakes it up and prefers her wild child “do”.
Jackie would love to meet everyone in town and is looking to make a play day with small dogs to start, although one of her old best friends was an older black Lab.
She prefers to walk together first, then greet. This is because we once were attacked by a big dog who knocked me down and broke my arm. winning this contest would be her greatest moment of her life.
