Pet's Story or Bio
Cheech is almost 3 yrs old & a little bit of a special chicken. We adopted her from a farm when she was a few months old as she was being picked-on for being at the bottom of the pecking order along with being born with a minor cross-beak deformity which made it more difficult for her to eat & compete for food on a farm of many other chickens. We raised her with extra tender loving care in our backyard with just 4 other chicken sisters & would bring her in the house for a few days a month when she would get habitually & abnormally broody. She eventually grew more independent & didn’t have to compete for food & space anymore & even managed to correct her cross-beak. She’s still bottom of the pecking order but has a supportive pack of chicken sisters & lots of freedom to be so special & the sweetest little chicken you’ll ever meet. She also is super obsessed with blueberries & sprouts. She will even pick / peck on her pug brother, max, when he’s not looking!
