Fiona Flower Girl

Fiona reminds me to stop and smell the roses (or peonies) on our daily walks,
and is always happy to see other people and dogs, although sometimes she loves
them a little too much! I trained her to sit to meet and greet, but she'll tip
over in a nanosecond because "this tummy won't rub itself, will it?"
She loved her year of agility classes from age one and taught herself to leap
in the air spinning and twirling like a gymnast. I say she's in training for the
Dog Olympics.

Her nicknames include Little White Wolf, Jumping Bean, Puppy with Invisible Ears
(they disappear into white fur when she folds them down), and the Picky-Poky Eater.
Fiona is the opposite of Freddie (Fastest Mouth in the West)since she'll politely
accept a treat and take it to a comfortable spot to examine, "mumbling it" in her
mouth to test it for flavor and acceptability. In solitude, in her own time, she'll
bite into it, or drop it for further testing. Next, she will perhaps break it into
smaller pieces and finally swallow a test case. It's a little amusing, a little
maddening, so unlike any behaviors of our previous dogs. If she decides it's simply
not worth eating, she'll still defend it from Freddie - "I may not want it, but I
don't want YOU to have it!! We call it "nibbling rivalry" and liken it to the
typical manners of small children, which is a good reason to call them fur-kids.
