Tell us why your dog supports the ARLNH!
George supports the ARLNH because they helped him when he needed it the most. George was found in the woods of Merrimack, NH and brought to ARLNH for care. He was only around 30lbs at 3 years old, he had multiple injuries and severe wounds. When asked why they named him George, the staff told us they wanted to give him a strong name. They named him quickly before his first emergency procedure with hopes that he would survive it. Luckily he pulled through.

George was not able to be housed with the other animal due to fear aggression. The ARLNH did not see this as a barrier, they made him a home in the Director of Operations office. George did not have a collar or chips, no one claimed him. George lived at the ARLNH for about 1 year, undergoing surgeries and learning to trust humans again. The ARLNH filed calls and did introductions with George but his needs were very specialized. The waited for the right fit. My husband and I were lucky enough to be those people. George now has his own yard, a bark box subscription and loves meeting new people (as long as there is cheese). He's thankful to the ARLNH because without them, none of this would be possible for him.

George has become a faithful companion and protector of our family. He has overcome a lot of adversity, more than any one dog should have to. We're incredibly proud of how far he has come,his goofy personality and and his trust in meeting new people. He is the chaser of squeaky balls and king of the couch. He is living proof of what a little love and caring can do.
