Tell us why your pet supports the ARLNH!
Finn is a rescue that I first spotted on WMUR. He was on a plane that had rescued some 200 animals from shelters down South and landed in Manchester, NH. where all animals would be placed in various shelters in hopes of being adopted. He was in a crate coming down a conveyor belt. He was about six months old. He looked unsure but hopeful about the next part of his journey. Finn was actually placed with ARLNH in Bedford, NH….I was determined that my next dog would a fancy little French dog that I had wanted for a long time. Life has a strange and wonderful way of changing your course and the reason is not always clear but revealed at a later time. I was missing having a dog in my life, my 14 year old dog had passed the year before, three days after losing a parent. I googled dogs for adoption in NH and Bedford Animal Rescue league popped up. I looked at their adoptable dogs and there was Finn with his crazy giant ears , the same dog I spotted on WMUR…All I can say is that there was a gravitational pull towards to go and meet him. A couple of hours after meeting him, he was in the back seat of my car, his giant ears filling my rearview mirror. I was still unsure if this was my dream dog but about a half hour into my ride home Finn comes towards the front seat and lays his head down on my shoulder as if to say thank you. He is the best boy, sweet, gentle and loving. I see his soul when I look in his eyes. It is pure joy watching him chase and play with his new rescue brother Auggi.
Tell us what makes your pet better than all the rest!
Finn represents hundreds of rescues needing homes and he represents the potential in “every “ dog to be the best dog ever. He just needed love, lots of squeaky toys and a chance…Finn with his sweet soulful eyes and glorious ears would look great on a beer can! He would definitely make your beer the best sip ever!
