Timber himself is a rescue who endured starvation and neglect. He is the happiest, silliest, lovable dog who brings us joy every day. He helped heal our hearts after we unexpectedly lost our previous dog to cancer. We needed each other and show each other thanks every day!

Tell us what makes your pet better than all the rest!
He's dashingly handsome! It doesn't show in every picture but he has fuzzy fur all around his ears which adds quite a bit of cuteness. You can't tell in this picture but he wears a neck tie! He has quite a collection. There are many rescue pets that endure neglect, which is heartbreaking. Timber was left in crate, starved, left in filth and has fly strike scars on his ears. He was rescued at about 9 months from the south, transported to a rescue in RI until we were lucky enough to make him our family in February 2023. I talked to him the entire hour ride home because I'm thinking he must be thinking, where now, who is this lady?! But he took to us right away. For what he went through I think, how can he be so happy. People tell me it's because he's finally being showed love, safety and a good meal! He is just so joyful every day. :)
