Tweetledee and Tweetledum were adopted as a pair from ARLNH in July of 2024 after being rescued from a horrible hoarding situation. They were my 17th birthday gift from my mother during my recovery from a bone tumor. Dee and Dum lived a happy life until Dum tragically passed away in March of this year from his own tumor. They were inseparable until the end. Without ARLNH I would've never become a budgie parent who has now rescued a total of 4 budgies. Dum would be proud to know his amazing legacy was thanks to you guys.

Tell us what makes your pet better than all the rest!
Dum wasn't special in terms of appearance, but he had quite the little personality. He loved to munch on millet while his buddy Dee sat on the nearest perch within the safety of the cage. When he wasn't chowing down on millet he was eating strawberries, which always ended up stuck on his beak. He wasn't the best at flying, but that didn't stop him. ARLNH said we'd never hand train those birds, but Dum was on my hand the very day we got him. He was always the friendlier one. There was never a day where he wasn't a tiny bundle of sunshine. He was inseparable from Dee, they kissed and chirped at each other all day long. That was the sound I missed the most when he passed. He wouldn't care about winning, but I want the whole world to know about this amazing bird. To others he was average, but to me he was the best.
