Description"I've done different versions of this image of an octopus with an umbrella out of its natural habitat before and I thought it would be fun to do on a three dimensional surface and fit with the animal theme."
BioAbout the artist. "Margo Ray is a visual artist who engages in printmaking, collage and installation. She holds an MFA from Concordia University in Montrèal, Quebec and a BA in Studio Arts from University of Hawai'i at Hilo. She was raised on Hawai’i Island and has had the opportunity to travel internationally throughout her life, exposing herself to art making practices outside of the Western canon. Her works have been exhibited in venues such as Second Street Gallery (Charlottesville, VA), The Honolulu Museum of Art at First Hawaiian Center (Honolulu, HI), Parisian Laundry (Montrèal, QC) and most recently at The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (Lancaster, CA). Margo is the Exhibition Coordinator at the Kahilu Theatre Galleries and co -owner of Island Eclectic, an art and design firm. She lives in Waimea, Hawai’i with her husband and their two children".
