Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
Panama City Beach was created with acrylic on canvas, spread and detailed with palette knives. The piece is a play on abstract photo realistic landscapes. Recently, my family and survivor were able to visit this location and had our first taste of total relaxation in over 5 years. We didn't want to come home, so instead I've continued to try to recreate the beauty and peace we felt in those moments.

Bio (include your age, tumor type and date of diagnosis)
I am the caregiver to a two time brain tumor survivor, diagnosed at the ages of 11 and 12. My daughter was diagnosed originally with Germinoma Brain Tumors, but when she relapsed, her official diagnosis was Relapsed Bifocal Germinoma Brain Tumors. A bunch of big fancy words to say our lives have been flipped upside down. My daughter now battles with multiple issues and late effects from her treatments. While staying with my daughter, I also try to paint and create new pieces, even encouraging my daughter to be creative. We absolutely love our quiet afternoons crafting together. It's because of her, that I even have the strength to try and put myself out there. I currently own and run J. Rage Art and Design soon to be Jillian Marie, and through that I share all of the creations myself and my daughter make.
