I took this photograph of a hummingbird. I feel like I have a spiritual connection with hummingbirds. Ever since my dog passed away a few months ago, hummingbirds have meant a lot to me. I don't know why, but I've just always loved hummingbirds. There's something magical about them. To me, hummingbirds represent beauty and are little messengers from heaven that our ancestors send.

My name is Paisley Kavanaugh and I am 16 years old. I collapsed at home on February 26th, 2014. I was soon diagnosed with a Craniopharyngioma brain tumor. We had to do emergency surgery to remove it. Then, 18 months later we found out it had regrown. We then chose to do proton radiation. I was eight when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and today I am sixteen. I have had my brain tumor for as long as I haven’t.
