Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
Sometimes the universe lets us down, but it’s important to remember that we are warriors, and we are winning the battle. I made myself some armor to help me remember. During the pandemic I started experimenting with leather craft. Each piece of this suit of armor is hand punched, cut, dyed and stitched or riveted.

Bio (include your age, tumor type and date of diagnosis)
I was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma brain tumor in 2012 at the age of 38. I’m now almost 49, and despite a slight detour of breast cancer, I am doing A-Ok!
