Bio (include your age, tumor type and date of diagnosis)
I was diagnosed at 9 years old after having a healthy childhood. Everything changed in a day. I needed three surgeries and also radiation all summer. I still have some tumor cells but nothing appears to be growing. I have to have lots of blood work (I hate it) because my tumor messed up the part of my brain that controls my hormones. I hope I can continue staying healthy and need less and less medical appointments. My life is otherwise pretty great. I am in 6th grade now at Waldorf school & I read a lot of novels and play piano every day. I love classical music and am currently learning Moonlight Sonata. One of my favorite things is to sit at my piano and just play what comes from my heart. My mom filmed a few minutes of me playing and I hope you like what came through. Being part of this contest in the past gave me lots of inspiration to share more. I’m happy to contribute again!
