Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
I painted turtles in the ocean with seaweed because I like sea animals. I used acrylic paint and colored pencils for the turtles and seaweed and watercolor paint for the background. I named it Slow and Steady because my grandmother always says slow and steady wins the race!

Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
My name is Hailey Lamca and I am 20 years old. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 12 and it changed my life forever. Brain tumors suck but I try to stay positive and focus on the good things in life. I am currently taking college classes in Early Childhood Education at my local community college and work part time at a day care. In my free time, I enjoy taking my dog on walks, running, painting and cooking.
