Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
This piece, Silent Strength: A Battle Within, is a digital illustration created to raise awareness for those fighting brain tumors. I used textured digital painting techniques to give the image a raw, emotional quality, blending warm muted tones with earthy colors to evoke both vulnerability and resilience. The materials used include a digital drawing tablet and stylus, with layering and shading techniques to add depth and texture to the piece.

The image shows a bald individual resting quietly, with a detailed brain and an awareness ribbon integrated into the anatomy — symbolizing both the invisible nature of the battle and the powerful spirit within. To me, this artwork represents the quiet courage of individuals facing brain tumors every day. It honors their strength, pain, and hope, even when their struggle isn't outwardly visible. Through this work, I hope to inspire compassion, support, and a deeper understanding of their journey.

Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
I created this artwork as a supporter, inspired by my friend Claire, who has faced the challenges of a brain tumor with incredible strength and courage. Watching Claire go through her journey has been both heartbreaking and inspiring. There were days filled with fear and uncertainty, but through it all, Claire’s spirit never wavered.

This piece, Silent Strength: A Battle Within, is my way of honoring her — and everyone like her — who fights battles that aren't always visible to the world. It represents the quiet moments of pain, the hidden bravery, and the unwavering hope that shines even in the darkest times. Through my art, I want Claire, and others walking a similar path, to know that they are seen, loved, and never alone.
