Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
This is a watercolor piece, I created while thinking about all the growth my heart has endured since my son was diagnosed with craniopharyngioma in February 2020.
It continues to expand as I harvest more trust and patience through all his medical hurdles.

Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
My son was nine years old and he was diagnosed with a craniopharyngioma in 2020.
We were released from the hospital three days before Covid changed everything. Luckily, we got to recuperate and find our new “Normal” in lockdown.
Attending to his new needs is a constant evolving journey. From thyroid issues, to cortisol deficiency, Diabetes insipidus and headaches. Countless MRIs, And seemingly endless blood work… I’m so proud to be his pillar. To be something he can lean into, allowing him to fully trust as life throws lots of curveballs at him.
I am endlessly, proud to walk as his mother.
