7th Annual Art of Surviving

Discover the power of creativity in the face of adversity. The Art of Surviving is more than just an art competition—it's a celebration of resilience, courage, and the human spirit.

About Us: Founded by the Raymond A. Wood Foundation, Art of Surviving provides a platform for brain tumor patients, survivors, caregivers, and family members to express themselves through art while sharing your story and raising awareness. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just discovering your creative side, everyone is welcome to participate.

How It Works: Each year during Brain Tumor Awareness Month in May, we invite submissions from around the globe. Artists are invited to submit artwork, ranging from paintings and drawings to sculptures and photography, capturing your journey and experiences with brain tumors. But here's the twist: instead of traditional judging, the winners are decided by the community! Every vote not only supports the artists but also contributes towards our work in patient and family education and support.

Get Involved: Are you an artist ready to share your story? Or perhaps you're passionate about supporting the brain tumor community? There are many ways to get involved with the Art of Surviving. Submit your artwork, spread the word, or simply cast your vote—it all makes a difference.

Join Us: Explore the inspiring artwork from previous years, learn about our mission, and find out how you can make a difference. Together, let's celebrate resilience, creativity, and the art of surviving.

Support and Empower Artists with Your Votes!

Step into the judge's seat and explore our vibrant gallery of artwork. Your voice matters—vote for your favorite pieces and artists to support their creativity and talent. Each vote you cast makes a real difference, contributing $1 towards our program's future endeavors. With a minimum donation of $10 for 10 votes, you have the power to amplify the impact of your support. Choose to allocate your votes to a single entry or save them in your personal vote bank to distribute among other deserving artists. Every dollar raised directly fuels our mission, ensuring continued opportunities for artists within the brain tumor community. And that's not all—artists who secure the most votes in each age group will be honored with the prestigious People's Choice Award and prizes! Let your votes shape the future of artistic expression and empowerment

All proceeds benefit the programs of the Raymond A. Wood Foundation whose mission is to drive research and advocate for treatment outcomes to improve quality of life for hypothalamic-pituitary brain tumor survivors.
