Pet's Story
My name is Harley and I am an 8 year old Lhasa Apso. I was a puppy farm stud that was really skinny and in poor condition before I was rescued. Luckily, my handsome face helped me get the most awesome home.

My parents drove 3 hours just to meet me so I made sure to make a good impression. I stared at them with my big, brown puppy eyes and showed off how sweet and friendly I am to help seal the adoption deal. I wanted to be sure they would take me home and give me the TLC I have been dreaming of.

I was so excited when my parents decided to take me home with them. Little did I know, there was even more exciting things to come. Not only did I get attention and love from my parents but I had a new big brother. I followed him around everywhere and was so happy I whimpered with joy. He wasn't so sure about me initially but I grew on him and these days we're inseparable.

I have been with my wonderful family for about 6 years now. This past Fall, we started a new family adventure and moved to Asheville to live in a Bed and Breakfast. I admit I was a little scared of the changes at first. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from a new place and all but I am really enjoying my new job as "inn dog". I love meeting new people, hanging out on my porch, hiking, and tagging along to the many dog friendly places in the neighborhood.

I'll wag my tail and woof with joy if you vote for me. I feel like I am the luckiest dog in the world to have been rescued and given a second chance at a good life. Let's work together to give other animals that same chance and help support the Asheville Humane Society.
