Pet's Story
Did you know that AHS takes in farm animals?!? In the fall of 2018, Asheville Humane Society received a call from a couple looking to rehome their male and female goats, Freya and Odin. Freya was pregnant (and it was not her first “oops” litter). Adam and Dr. Fogal moved quickly to find a comfortable place for this foster family, and the day before Thanksgiving, Thor and Loki were born! Thor and his brother have visited the shelter on several occasions, including the AHS staff holiday party! Unfortunately, Thor’s brother, Loki, suddenly and unexpectedly died a month ago, leaving Thor to frolic through his pasture without his best friend.

Because of the work Asheville Humane does for the cats, dogs, small and large animals of Buncombe County, animals like Thor and his family find warm beds and happy pastures to graze. Will you make a small donation of just $5 (or more) to help Asheville Humane save thousands more in the coming year?
