Your Pet's Story or Bio
This sweet love bug you see before you, with her wonky year, odd underbite, turned out flippers, and nubby tail, is not the dog I first saw in the shelter. The dog I first met would not make eye contact or stand up. She was terrified, defeated, and I will be honest, not really that cute. She had been adopted as a puppy and lived with a family for 2 years. They called her “Brin”. Their circumstances changed and they could no longer keep her, so they took her back to the shelter. She was a smidge overweight and extremely sad. She was transported from @mckameycenter and wound up @atlantahumane. She curled up in a ball on the floor of her cage and wouldn’t look at anyone. I can only imagine how scared she was. I am so happy I took a chance and asked one of the amazing volunteers to let me see her. Thirty seconds later I knew she was mine. Those big stuffed animal eyes and wiggle butt had my heart ❤️. The moral of the story is don’t judge a book by its cover. You have to see past the fear and stress some dogs experience in a shelter. Underneath, there is a lot of potential and some serious love. There are Butterbeans in shelters everywhere...go get one! #adoptdontshop ❤️🐾🥰
